Unacademy is now valued at $2 billion

Unacademy, just a four-and-a-half-year-old startup is now valued at $2 billion as it raised new funds from Tiger Global Management and Dragoneer Investment Group. In Sep’20, the startup gained unicorn status when SoftBank led the round, and just about in 2 months, its valuation has doubled up. It was valued at $500 million in Feb’20 when Facebook joined its list of backers.
It has become one of the fastest-growing Edtech startups today!
A platform that serves the community through educational content is now also educating us in the news with its back to back heavy fundings. Coincidentally, the collective watch time across Uncademy’s platforms is also over 2 billion minutes per month!
Indian families continue to spend heavily on their children’s education in hopes of paving the way for a better future. And in the same way, investors continue to spend heavily in the edtech space in hopes of paving the way for huge returns.
