How China is dependant on Taiwan for its 5G revolution

China, even after being one of the superpower nations of the world isn’t self-reliant & ready for 5G as it is heavily dependant on Taiwan!. 3 years ago Taiwan’s economy was on the brink of death as many of its best companies had moved to China.

Yet in 2020 Taiwan has turned the clock back. It is, again, one of the world’s fastest-growing economies. Even though it’s GDP is projected to expand by only about 2% in 2020, there’s a bright light at the end of a dark tunnel. For the first time in decades, Taiwan’s economy may even grow faster than China’s!

Taiwan’s economy is also expected to expand 3.5 to 4% next year, thus giving competition to the US economy which is likely to register 3.7% growth. China & Taiwan had locked horns in a political dispute for over 70 years.

And now tables have turned in such a way that China is almost completely dependant on Taiwan for its semiconductor imports as it has some of the world’s top computer chips. $27.2B of Taiwan’s $90B in exports went to China in Q2 FY21!. China wants to become a powerful force in the tech field worldwide, but they don’t have the required semiconductors & resources

Do you think China’s urge to become self-reliant & Taiwan’s urge to never give up as a leader in the IT field will skyrocket the Taiwanese economy?
