Apple Watch Hits a ‘6’er; Introduces Blood Oxygen level tracker

The American multinational technology company, Apple Inc., has set yet another benchmark with the launch of its Apple Watch Series 6. Surpassing expectations of its users, Apple has once again hit a masterstroke. The new watch comes with a revolutionary health dimension. Incorporated with a Blood Oxygen sensor and the app it provides a metric to measure the health and fitness of the user.

The plan ahead –
Apple plans to undertake research by conducting 3 health studies. It aims to explore new avenues with regards to how blood oxygen level can be used in future health applications. Apple Inc. proposes to collaborate with the University of California, Irvine & Anthem to study how longitudinal measurements of blood oxygen and other physiological signals can help in managing and controlling asthma. Apple also envisions working with investigators at the Ted Rogers Centre for Heart Research and the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre at the University Health Network. It plans to research and align blood oxygen level with Apple Watch metrics to manage heart failures.
